Expert Consensus on the Application of Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing in High Altitude Areas
Abstract:The International Society for Mountain Medicine classifies altitude into three categories: high altitude (1500-3500 m), very high altitude (3500-5500 m), and extremely high altitude (>5500 m) [1]. China has vast plateau areas, with approximately 26.8% of its territory located at high altitudes, including the entire Tibet Autonomous Region, most of Qinghai Province, and parts of Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu, and Xinjiang provinces.
