Abstract:Objective To explore the embolization and prognosis in complex intracranial aneurysm after treatment with Lvis and Solitaire stents. Methods A total of 110 eligible patients admitted to our department between March 2020 and January 2024 were retrospectively enrolled, and according to different treatment methods, they were divided into Lvis group(49 cases)and Solitaire group(61 cases).Immediately and at 6 months after surgery, embolization was evaluated.Cerebral vascular reactivity was evaluated by transcranial Doppler flow analyzer. The incidence of complications and recurrence rate were observed within 6 months after surgery. The prognosis of patients was evaluated by modified Rankin scale. Results No significant difference was observed in embolization rate immediately after surgery between the Lvis group and Solitaire group(100.0%vs 96.7%,P>0.05).At 6 months after surgery, the Lvis group obtained significantly higher embolization rate than the Solitaire group(95.9%vs 83.6%,P<0.05),but no statistical difference in the incidence of complications or recurrence rate was seen between them(10.2%vs 3.3%,2.0%vs 6.6%,P>0.05).At the time point, average arterial blood flow after breath-holding(66.12±12.35 cm/s vs 60.37±11.44 cm/s,64.25±11.67 cm/s vs 59.62±10.93 cm/s)and breath-holding index(0.61%±0.16%vs 0.45%±0.11%,0.56%±0.12%vs 0.41%±0.13%)were significantly increased in both groups(P<0.05),and there was no obvious difference in good prognosis rate between the two group(89.8%vs 77.0%,P>0.05).Conclusion Lvis stent and Solitaire stent have similar embolization effectiveness, incidence of complications and prognosis in the treatment of complex intracranial aneurysm. However,Lvis stent shows higher embolization rate than Solitaire stent after 6 months of follow-up.
