Research Progress on the Effects of Lipid-Lowering Therapy on Cognitive Function and Hemorrhagic Stroke
Abstract:Low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is a major risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Current evidence indicates that actively reducing LDL-C levels can reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, coronary and peripheral arterial revascularization, and prospective randomized controlled studies based on statins have confirmed that the greater the reduction in LDL-C, the lower the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events [1].
