A Case of Light Chain Cardiac Amyloidosis Misdiagnosed After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement
Abstract:Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has been widely used in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS). However, the clinical symptoms of these patients often overlap with age-related degenerative changes or valvular disease, which may mask underlying systemic diseases such as cardiac amyloidosis (CA). This case report describes a patient with CA misdiagnosed after TAVR due to atypical early symptoms, aiming to alert clinicians to the importance of thorough evaluation of non-specific postoperative symptoms to improve early detection.
