Inflammatory Mechanisms and Anti-inflammatory Treatment in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction
Abstract:Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide, and the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in China has been on the rise in recent years [1]. With the increasing success in treating acute cardiovascular events, heart failure has gradually become the next major challenge in cardiovascular medicine. Based on the proportion of ejection fraction, heart failure can be divided into three different categories: heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, heart failure with mid-range ejection fraction, and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, HFpEF).
