Expert Consensus on the Psychoradiological Diagnosis of Cognitive Impairment in Neurodegenerative Diseases
Abstract:Psychoradiology is an emerging interdisciplinary field that combines neuroscience, medical imaging, and neuropsychiatry. It aims to use various medical imaging techniques to visualize normal and abnormal mental states and neuropsychological behavioral characteristics, offering opportunities for early screening and diagnosis of cognitive impairments associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) [1]. To further promote the development of psychoradiology, the project group of the National Key R&D Program 'Intelligent Imaging and Multi-Omics Technologies for Age-Related Neurodegenerative Diseases', the Chinese Association of Gerontological Health Care, and experts from the National Clinical Research Center for Aging-related Diseases formed a consensus writing group. Based on the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine 2011 criteria (OCEBM 2011), they established evidence levels and recommendation grades according to evidence-based medicine standards, reaching a consensus on psychoradiological indicators and diagnostic pathways for neurodegenerative diseases, aiming to improve the standardization level of AD diagnosis [2].
