Expert Recommendations for Brain Function Evaluation and Management Based on Brain Efficiency
Abstract:Diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and stroke can cause pathological decline in brain function. Aging, frailty, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and various social and psychological factors such as high-altitude hypoxia and social isolation can also lead to a decline in brain function, but without accompanying brain damage. The Healthy China Initiative emphasizes prevention-oriented approaches, integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and promoting the health of the entire population through the entire life cycle, disease process, and all prevention and control elements [1]. Therefore, we may need a more proactive concept to discuss brain health, rather than merely discussing it within the relatively passive context of disease prevention or treatment.
