Apelin exerts neuroprotective effects by regulating polarization of BV2 cells
Abstract:Ischemic cerebrovascular disease is characterized by high incidence, disability rate, mortality rate, and recurrence rate, and is the second leading cause of death worldwide, seriously threatening health [1]. Ischemic stroke is caused by cerebral vascular lesions leading to local cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, resulting in cerebral tissue necrosis and functional impairment. Although acute treatments such as thrombolysis have made significant progress, the recovery of stroke patients remains complex and often fails to achieve optimal prognosis [2]. Therefore, it is urgent to explore new and efficient methods for treating ischemic stroke.
