The Role of Myocardial Microenvironmental Factors in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction
Abstract:In recent years, with the increasing prevalence of risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, aging, and obesity, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) has become a focal point in the medical field. It has a high incidence, mortality, and readmission rate comparable to heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, but it is diagnosed less frequently, occurs more often in females, has more comorbidities, and significantly affects the lifespan and quality of life of the elderly [1-2].
