Research Progress on the Relationship between Ceramide and Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract：According to the 'China Cardiovascular Health and Disease Report 2022', the prevalence and mortality rate of coronary heart disease in China are showing a continuous upward trend [1]. Lipid metabolism abnormalities are one of the main risk factors for coronary heart disease [2-3]. Ceramide is a key substance in lipid metabolism, participating in regulating life processes such as cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, aging, and death. It participates in the occurrence and development of coronary atherosclerosis by regulating inflammatory pathways, oxidative stress, lipid accumulation, and autonomic nervous function [4]. We review the research progress on the relationship between ceramide and coronary heart disease, providing insights for precise diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of coronary heart disease.
