Relationship between ABCB1 gene rs1045642 single nucleotide polymorphism and clopidogrel resistance in ischemic stroke patients
Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between ABCB1 gene rs1045642 single nucleotide polymorphism and clopidogrel resistance (CR) in ischemic stroke patients. Methods One hundred ischemic stroke patients admitted to our hospital from January 2013 to December 2013 were divided into CR group (n=42) and CR-free group (n=58) according to their residual platelet agglutination. The distribution sites of ABCB1 gene rs1045642 single nucleotide polymorphism in two groups were detected by direct sequencing. Results The smoking rate was significantly higher in CR free group than in CR group (P=0.009).The frequency of CC,CT,TT genotypes was 21.4%,45.2%,33.3% respectively in CR group and was 36.2%,44.8%,19.0% respectively in CR-free group (P>0.05).The frequency of C and T allelic genotypes was 44.0% and 56.0% respectively in CR group and was 58.6% and 41.4% respectively in CR-free group (P>0.05).Conclusion CR is not related with ABCB1 gene rs1045642 single nucleotide polymorphism in ischemic stroke patients.
