Application of standardized antiplatelet drugs in hospitalized elderly patients
Abstract:Objective To study the influencing factors for the application of antiplatelet drugs in hospitalized elderly patients. Methods A total of 2771 patients admitted to our hospital were divided into standard treatment group (n=2305) and control group (n=466).Their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed.Differences in their clinical data were analyzed by t test and multi-variate regression analysis respectively. Results Of the 2771 patients, standardized antiplatelet drugs were applied in 2305 (83.2%),unstandardized antiplatelet drugs were applied in 466 (16.8%).The compliance rate for antiplatelet drugs was higher in patients with smoking history,CHD,DM and was lower in those who were ≥75 years old, underwent PCI,diagnosed with peripheral atherosclerosis and anemia (OR=2.23;95 %CI:1.75-2.83,P=0.001;OR=2.03,95 %CI:1.60-2.58,P=0.000;OR=1.74,95%CI:1.38-2.20,P=0.000;OR=0.39,95%CI:0.32-0.49,P=0.000;OR=0.66,95%CI:0.50-0.87,P=0.000;OR=0.73,95%CI:0.58-0.92,P=0.000;OR=0.45,95%CI:0.32-0.64,P=0.004).Conclusion Of the patients included in this study, standardized antiplatelet drugs can be applied in 83.2% and unstandardized antiplatelet drugs can be applied in 16.8%.Age,gastrointestinal disease, chronic kidney disease, interventional therapy and bleeding are the major influencing factors for the application of standardized anti-platelet drugs in elderly patients.
