Effect of Zhuyu Tongmai Capsule on vascular endothelial cytokines in ischemic stroke patients
Abstract：Objective To study the effect of Zhuyu Tongmai Capsule on vascular endothelial cytokines in ischemic stroke (IS) patients.Methods One hundred and twenty IS patients were randomly divided into control group (n=60) and treatment group (n=60).Patients in control group were treated with oral aspirin (0.25 mg,3 times a day) plus conventional vasodilators and neurotropic drugs and those in treatment group were treated with Zhuyu Tongmai Capsule plus aspirin,conventional vasodilators and neurotropie drugs for 1 month.Serum levels of TXB2,6-KetoPGF1α,NO,and active oxygen were measured in two groups.Results The serum levels of TXB2 and active oxygen were significantly lower while those of 6-Keto-PGF1α and NO were significantly higher in two groups after treatment than before treatment (P＜0.05).The serum levels of TXB2 and active oxygen were significantly lower while those of 6-Keto-PGF1α and NO were significantly higher in treatment group than in control group after treatment (P＜0.05).The serum levels of TC,LDL-C,TG,and hs-CRP were significantly lower while those of HDL-C were significantly higher in both groups after treatment (P＜0.05).Conclusion Zhuyu Tongmai Capsule can effectively downregulate the serum levels of TXB2 and active oxygen and upregulate those of 6-Keto-PGF1α,NO,blood lipid,and hs-CRP in IS patients.
