Heart rate of coronary heart disease patients with atrial fibrillation after placing stents in Beijing
Abstract:Objective To study the control of heart rate of coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) after placing stents in some hospitals of Beijing by observing their major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and all-cause mortality during the follow-up.Methods A total of 2471 CHD patients with AF who underwent PCI in 12 class A hospitals in Beijing from 2010-01-01 to 2014-12-31 were included in this study.Their medical records, clinical examination findings and laboratory testing parameters were recorded. The patients were followed up for 3.5 ±-1.5 years, during which the incidence of MACE,blood pressure, heart rate, used drugs, surgical procedure were recorded. Results The heart rate was poorly controlled and the incidence of MACE was 26.9% in CHD patients with AF after placing stent. The heart rate was faster in CHD patients with AF who occurred MACE than in those who did not occur MACE.The heart rate was treated with β-receptor blockers in 72.3% of the CHD patients with AF with a control rate of 4.3 %.Theincidence of MACE was significantly higher in CHD patients with AF who received digitalis treatment than in those who received amiodarone and β-receptor blocker treatment (45.9% vs 15.3% and 25.9%,P<0.05).Conclusion The control of heart rate was poor in CHD patients with AF in Beijing after PCI,and should thus be further strengthened.
