Relationship between serum Hcy level and coronary artery stenosis in H type hypertension patients
Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between serum Hcy level and coronary artery stenosis in H type hypertension patients. Methods One hundred and eighteen essential hypertension (EH) patients with coronary artery disease were divided into experimental group (n=56) with their serum Hcy level ≥10 μmol/L and control group (n=62) with their serum Hcy level<10 μmol/L.Their serum levels of Hcy,TC,TG,UA,and LDL-C were measured. The patients underwent coronary angiography.Their coronary artery stenosis and serum Hcy level were compared. Results The serum Hcy level was significantly higher in experimental group than in control group (13.2±2.9 μmol/L vs 6.1±3.2 μmol/L,P=0.000).The number of patients with mild stenosis was significantly less while that of patients with severe stenosis was significantly larger in experimental group than in control group (P=0.000).No significant difference was found in the number of patients with moderate stenosis between the two groups (P =0.448).Correlation analysis showed that serum Hcy level was positively related with Gensini score(r=0.71,95%CI:0.66-0.88,P=0.000).Coronary artery stenosis aggravated with the increasing serum Hcy level.Concision Serum Hcy level is closely related with coronary artery stenosis in H type hypertension patients.
