Long-term outcome in ≥75 years old patients with in left main coronary artery disease after PCI
Abstract:Objective To analyze the long-term outcome in ≥75 years old patients with left main coronary artery disease after PCI.Methods Two hundred and thirteen ≥65 years old patients with left main coronary artery disease after PCI were divided into ≥75 years old group (n=81)and <75 years old group (n=132).The success rate of PCI and the incidence of complications and long-term MACE were compared between the two groups. The 1-year survival rate of the patients was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis. Results The diameter of implanted stents was significantly shorter in ≥75 years old group than in <75 years old group (3.2±0.5 mm vs 3.3±0.5 mm,P=0.035).No significant difference was found in the incidence of total long-term MACE,total adverse cardiovascular events, cardiac death,all-cause death and 1-year survivial rate betwen the two groups (23.9% vs 20.6%,P=0.593;43.7%00 vs 30.8%,P=0.081;2.8% vs 0.9%,P=0.718;5.6% vs 2.8%,P=0.577;94.4% vs 97.2%,P=0.337).Conclusion PCIis safe and effective for ≥75 years old patients with left main coronary artery disease.
