Application of Parkinson's disease rat behavior evaluation system in electrophysiology
Abstract:Objective To quantitatively evaluate the motor deficit symptoms of PD and screen the appropriate rotation speed of electrical signals in rat brain under continuous motion by construc‐ting PD rat behavior evaluation system .Methods Eighteen adult male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group (n=8)and experimental group (n=10) .Electrodes were implanted into the rat nuclei after a rat PD model was established .The longest moving time ,step frequency ,slip up times and discontinuous moving frequency were recorded using self‐made treadmill and multi‐channel in vivo recording instrument .The 9-30 r/min rotation speed was screened and histology was identified .Results The longest moving time was significantly shorter ,the slip up times were significantly more ,and the step frequency was significantly higher in experimental group than in control group when the 20 r/min rotation speed and 30 r/min rotation speed were evaluated (P<0.05 ,P<0 .01) .The discontinuous moving frequency was significantly lower when the 9 r/min rotation speed and 30 r/min rotation speed were evaluated and significantly higher when the 15 r/min rotation speed and 20 r/min rotation speed were evaluated (P<0 .05 ,P<0.01) .Conclusion The PD rat behavior evaluation system can effectively evaluate the motor deficit symptoms of PD and screen the appropriate rotation speed .
