Association between GGT and heart failure in STEMI patients after thrombolysis
Abstract:Obiective To study the association between GGT and heart failure (HF)in STEMI pa‐tients after thrombolysis .Methods The association between GGT and HF in STEMI patients af‐ter thrombolysis was analyzed by univariate analysis ,Pearson correlation analysis ,multivariate linear regression analysis and logistic regression analysis ,respectively .Results The incidence of diabetes mellitus and the serum levels of fasting blood glucose ,TG ,C‐reactive protein and BNP were significantly higher ,the LVEDD was significantly greater ,the LVEF and the incidence of an‐gina pectoris/the incidence of HF were significantly higher in groups B and C than in group A (P<0 .05) .The systolic BP ,the serum levels of fasting blood glucose and troponin I and the inci‐dence of angina pectoris/the incidence of HF were significantly higher in group C than in group B (P<0 .05) .The GGT was positively associated with the LVEDD and negatively associated with the LVEF (r=0 .42 ,P<0 .05 ;r= -0 .54 ,P<0 .01) .The GGT was independently associated with BNP and LVEF ,indicating that GGT is a risk factor for HF in STEMI patients after trombolysis (P< 0 .01) .Conclusion GGT is an independent risk factor for HF in STEMI patients after thrombolysis .The incidence of HF increases significantly with the elevating GGT level .
