Abstract:Objective To analyze the characteristics of cognitive impairment and sleep disorders in patients with aMCI and non‐dementia VCI .Methods Fifty aMCI patients and 50 non‐dementia VCI patients who visited the Outpatient Department served as an aMCI group and non‐dementia VCI group respectively ,and 36 healthy elderly subjects served as a control group in this study . Their neuropsychology and sleep were scored .Their cognitive function (memory ,executive func‐tion ,attention ,information processing speed and sleep were compared .Results The PASAT , SDMT and JLO scores were significantly lower whereas the TMTA and TMTB scores ,the num‐ber of sustained errors on WCST‐64 ,delayed recall and recognition scores were significantly high‐er in non‐dementia VCI group than in control group (P<0 .05) .The ESS ,PSQI and ISI scores were significantly higher in non‐demetia VCI group and aMCI group than in control group (P<0.05) whereas the PSQI and ISI scores were significantly higher in non‐demetia VCI group than in aMCI group (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Different degrees of cognitive impairment and sleep disor‐ders are existed in both aMCI and non‐dementia VCI patients .The impairment of delayed recall and recognition is more severe in aMCI patients than in non‐dementia VCI patients whereas the impairment of attention ,information processing speed ,visuospatial construction and executive function is more significant in non‐dementia patients than in aMCI patients .The sleep disorders are more obvious in non‐dementia patients than in aMCI patients .
