Effect of intra-aortic balloon pump on inflammatory factor in elderly AMI patients with cardiogenic shock after PCI
Abstract:Objective To assess the effect of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) on inflammatory factor sCD40L in AMI patients with cardiogenic shock (CS)after PCI .Methods Ninety AMI eld-erly patients with CS were divided into treatment group (n=42) and control group (n=48) .Their sCD40L level was measured at admission and on days 1 and 7 after admission .Their left ventricu-lar function (LVEF)was compared 1 week and 3 months after PCI .The patients were followed up for 6 months after PCI ,during which the MACE were recorded .Results The sCD40L level was significantly lower in treatment group than in control group on days 1 and 7 after PCI (3 .19 ± 0.39 μg/L vs3.51±0.42 μg/L,2.98±0.34 μg/L vs3.12±0.41 μg/L,P<0.05).TheLVEF was better in treatment group than in control group 1 week and 3 months after PCI (36 .11% ± 6.31% vs 30 .26% ± 5 .48% ,44 .69% ± 5 .02% vs 41 .52% ± 4 .17% ,P<0 .05) .However ,no sig-nificant difference was found in the incidence of MACE between the two groups 6 months after PCI (P>0 .05) .Conclusion IABP can significantly reduce the sCD40L level in elderly AMl pa-tients with CS before PCI and effectively improve their LVEF .
