The characteristics of distribution of FⅦ gene polymorphism in Ningxia Hui and Han elderly with acute coronary syndrome
Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics of distribution of coagulation factor (FⅦ) gene polymorphism in Ningxia Hui and Han patients with ACS. Methods 664 patients with CHD in Ningxia proven by angiography(Hui 336, Hun 328) were compared respectively with 400 Hui and 350 Han healthy blood donors serving as the control group. Their plasma levels of FⅦ was detected using recombinant soluble tissue factor method. The FⅦ gene R353Q,-323 0/10 bp and HVR4 genotypes were identified by polymerase chain reaction amplified genomic DNA method. Results Plasma FⅦa levels were significantly higher in patients with CHD than in control group. The distribution of genotypes and allele frequencies of R353Q in the Hui patient and control groups displayed significant difference, and there was also difference between the sub-groups of ACS and non-ACS (P < 0. 05). The difference of the-323 0/10 bp existed between patients with CHD and controls in the Han. FⅦa level was significantly higher in RR genotype than in Q allele carriers in the Hui. Conclusion The FⅦ gene polymorphism is present in the Hui and Hun population in Ningxia. The Q allele may be a protective factor against CHD in the Hui,and plasma FⅦa level may be influenced by the R353Q polymorphism.
