Abstract:Parathyroid hormone(PTH),as a key hormone involved in maintaining calcium and phosphorus homeostasis in the body, plays an important role in bone remodeling through the mediation of various bioactive substances.Intermittent administration of PTH can regulate the dynamic balance of bone metabolism, promote bone mass increase, and repair bone defects. In recent years, both basic medical research and some clinical reports have shown that bioactive peptides such as PTH have shown high application value in the field of oral craniofacial bone regeneration. Its mechanism of promoting callus maturation and accelerating bone healing has become a hot topic in tissue engineering research. This review aims to systematically introduce the research progress of parathyroid hormone and related peptides in the treatment of jaw diseases(such as osteonecrosis, bone defects, fractures, implant osseointegration, etc.),providing new ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of jaw-related diseases.
