Research progress on the application of laser in the debonding of orthodontic brackets

Abstract：Upon completion of the orthodontic treatment process,the debonding of brackets constitutes a key link.however,traditional methods are associated with certain limitations.Along with the advancement of oral medical technology,laser,as an innovative debonding means,boasts merits such as high energy,high precision,and high efficiency.Owing to its benefits in minimizing enamel damage,enhancing patient comfort,and reducing clinical operation time,laser debonding has gradually become a focal point of research and application in recent years.This paper aims to review the mechanism of laser debonding,the types and characteristics of lasers used,the parameter settings for laser debonding,and the advantages thereof,while also exploring potential future research directions.
