Abstract:Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors in the head and neck region, and its cervical lymph node metastasis direct affects on patients'prognosis. The biological mechanism of lymph node metastasis in OSCC is extremely complex, involving key processes such as cancer cell invasion, migration, and lymphangiogenesis,as well as the underlying complex molecular regulatory mechanisms.Inflammation,as an important component of the tumor microenvironment, can promote the metastasis of OSCC.In methodological developments, molecular biology approaches were increasingly complemented by advanced animal modeling systems.Notably, machine learning architectures integrating artificial intelligence with multidimensional big data analytics emerged as innovative tools for metastasis prediction. These computational models demonstrated enhanced accuracy in stratifying nodal metastasis risk through comprehensive data synthesis, offering valuable support for personalized treatment strategies. This review systematically analyzed contemporary research progress regarding OSCC lymph node metastasis, encompassing both biological mechanisms and evolving research paradigms, with particular emphasis on their translational implications for clinical practice.
