Clinical study on the enhancement of the therapeutic effect of complete dentures by the concept of adsorption dentures

Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of functional adsorption dentures and traditional removable dentures in the restoration of edentulous arches,providing a scientific basis for optimizing the treatment plan for edentulous patients and to improve the effect of complete denture restoration.Methods From June 2021 to August 2024,66 patients with dentition loss who underwent complete denture restoration in the First People's Hospital of Chengdu were randomly divided with 33 cases in each group according to the different repair methods.The observation group was treated with functional adhesive dentures,while the control group was treated with traditional active dentures.The retention and stability of the dentures after wearing,chewing efficiency and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results After restoration,the retention and stability of maxillary and mandibular denture,absorbance value,various satisfaction levels and overall satisfaction score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Following the concept of functional adsorption denture can improve the clinical application effect of complete denture.
