Analysis of the causes of patient discomfort during periapical projections and countermeasures

Abstract：Periapical films are intraoral radiographs that show the entire view of teeth and the condition of the alveolar bone around the root apex, and are unique to oral medicine and the most widely used X-ray examination method in clinical oral practice [1]. During the拍摄 of periapical films, the image receptor must be placed inside the patient's mouth. The image receptors include traditional X-ray films, imaging plates for indirect digital periapical films, or sensors for direct digital periapical films. Since most clinical practices currently use imaging plates for indirect digital periapical films, this article mainly discusses the imaging plate as an example.
