Abstract:Oral frailty is closely associated with physical frailty and constitutes a significant part of it. The prevalence of pre-oral frailty is high among the elderly. However,in the early stage,it is still reversible. If not intervened,it will gradually develop to an irreversible stage, thereby aggravating the physical frailty of the elderly and causing many adverse risk outcomes. Non-pharmacological interventions play an important role in preventing oral frailty in the elderly. The present study undertakes a systematic review of the concept, assessment tools, and relevant influencing factors of oral frailty. It focuses on summarizing the research progress of non-pharmacological intervention measures related to oral frailty, such as oral function exercises,whole-body exercise intervention, nutritional intervention, and teamwork. The purpose is to expound the specific methods and expected effects of non-pharmacological intervention measures for oral frailty in the elderly population, and to provide a reference for the prevention of the occurrence and development of oral frailty among the elderly.
