Effect of oral health self-efficacy intervention on satisfaction of patients with removable partial denture in the elderly

Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of oral health self-efficacy intervention in the restoration of removable partial denture in the elderly.Methods A total of 100 elderly patients who underwent removable partial denture restoration with single jaw dentition defect were selected and divided into intervention group and control group.The Geriatric Self-Efficacy Scale for Oral Health (GSEOH) was filled in before and after restoration.The intervention group conducted targeted intervention according to the scores of the self-efficacy scale before and after restoration,while the control group received no special treatment.To compare the satisfaction of two groups of patients after removable partial denture restoration.Results The satisfaction of elderly patients with removable partial denture in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion Oral health self-efficacy intervention can effectively improve the satisfaction of elderly patients with removable partial denture restoration.
