Analysis of the therapeutic effect of the application of biological functional denture restoration systemapplied to patients with edentulous jaws

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of using a biological functional restoration system to complete dentures in Inner Mongolia.Method Over the past four years,72 edentulous patients were came in the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College were included in the study.They were randomly divided into a control group(n=36)and an experimental group(n=36).The control group was treated with traditional complete denture restoration,while the experimental group was treated with a biological functional denture restoration system.Mastication efficiency,oral health related quality of life and denture tenderness characteristics were evaluated respectively in the two groups.Results(1)The mastication efficiency of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=6.774,P<0.01).(2)The experimental group's dentures were significantly better than traditional methods of complete dentures in terms of wearing comfort,adsorption effect,mucosal pain,ulceration,and frequency of follow-up visits,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);.There was no significant difference in wearing nausea,abnormal taste,unclear speech,and psychological factors on denture wearing,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(3)The number of cases of mucosal pain in the experimental group(6 cases)was lower than that in the control group(16 cases),and the degree was milder.Conclusion The application of biological functional denture restoration system in the production of complete dentures is more superior,with significant clinical effects,and is a more comfortable new method for denture restoration.
