Application value analysis of systematic health education combined with psychological nursing in elderly implant patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of systematic health education combined with psychological nursing in the perioperative period of dental implants in elderly patients.Methods A total of 138 elderly patients who received artificial dental implant surgery in Stomatology Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected and divided into control group(n=69)and experimental group(n=69)according to random number table method.The control group was treated with routine nursing,while the observation group was treated with systematic health education combined with psychological nursing.The experimental and control groups were observed and followed up from the aspects of the psychological state,nursing satisfaction,pain degree,oral health status and incidence of postoperative complications.Results The SAS score and HAMD score and VAS score in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The nursing satisfaction of experimental group was higher than that of the control group;.In terms of oral hygiene(P＜0.05),the effect of the experimental group was significantly better than the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was 2.9%in the experimental group,which was lower than 11.6%in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive systematic health education combined with psychological nursing in the perioperative period can effectively relieve dental anxiety in elderly patients with dental implants,reduce postoperative pain,improve nursing satisfaction and reduce postoperative complications.
