Abstract:Objective:The root number and root canal morphology of mandibular anterior teeth were studied by CBCT in order to provide evidence for root canal therapy of mandibular anterior teeth.Method:1455 CBCT images of mandibular anterior teeth were obtained from 247 patients (136 men and 111 women) who had treatment at the People's Liberation Army Stomatological Hospital between January 2017 and June 2017.We analyze the number of roots and root canal morphologies. Results:All the mandibular central incisors and lateral incisors were single root, and 1.65% of canines had two roots.19.14% of mandibular central incisors,33.20% of lateral incisors,12.37% of canines had multiple root canals. The rate of double root canals of mandibular incisors between 51 and 60 years old was the highest. The higher the age after 30 years old,the higher the rate of multi-rooted canals of mandibular incisors. The highest frequency of symmetry of root canals was in mandibular lateral incisors(91.67%).Conclusion:Multiple root canals often occur in mandibular anterior teeth. The rate of multiple root canals in lateral incisors is the highest, and the bilateral symmetry rate is the highest.Vertucci type Ⅰ canal morphology is most common in mandibular anterior teeth.
