Reliability and validity analysis of post competency self-rating scale in standardized training of general resident in stomatology

Abstract：Objective:To construct the competency-oriented standardized resident training scale for resident in Stomatology,and evaluate its reliability and validity.Methods:According to literature investigation and expert interview,the competency of general resident in stomatology was defined in detail,the scale was compiled and filled out by resident in general stomatology.The reliability of the scale was analyzed by SPSS 11.0 software.Results:Expels authenticated the scales one with high validity.Its Chronbach's α is 0.861.The split-half reliability coefficient is 0.819.Factor analysis shows all five factors' variance contribution accumulates to 71.504％.Conclusions:The scale has good internal consistency reliability,half reliability and structural validity.It can be used to evaluate the post competence of the resident in general stomatology.In order to adapt to the resident standardized training pay attention to formative evaluation of the new model.
