Abstract:Objective:To detect the bacteriostatic effects of nitrogen-doped nano titanium dioxide (nano N-TiO2) on Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. Methods:The "carrier immersion quantitative germicidal test" was placed in the N-TiO2 spray and soaked in the simulated indoor natural light for 0.5,1,2,3,4h.Then,they shall be cultured for 24h before colony counting. In the "bacteriostatic ring test",the samples of N-TiO2 sprays shall be were placed on the culture plate coated with bacteria, and the bacteriostatic ring diameter was measured after the simulated indoor natural light was cultured for 18h.Subsequently,the diameter of bacteriostatic ring was measured. Results:The killing index ofnano N-TiO2 could reach more than 3 after 1h effect on Staphylococcus aureus, and 0.5h effect on Escherichia coli and Candida albicans;the average diameter of antibacterial ring is over 7 mm for Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, but there's no antibacterial ring in the case of Candida albicans. Conclusions:Nano N-TiO2 has a good antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans.
