Abstract:Objective:To investigate the differentially expressed proteins of facial nerve between normal rats and facial nerve crush injury rats. Methods:Facial nerve and crush injury nerve were selected as normal controls control group and experimental group respectively. After protein extraction, differentially expressed proteins were separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and identified by MALDI-TOF/TOF.Statistical analysis of data was performed using SPSS 15.0 software package. Results:According to the proteomics study, there were 19 significant differences between the two groups, and the difference of 4 protein points was more than 20 times. The 4 proteins fell into 3 functional categories as follows:metabolism, information storage and transduction. Conclusion:The differentially expressed proteins of facial nerve between normal rats and facial nerve injury rats may be new targets for investigating the mechanisms of the effect of nerve injury.
