The evaluation of the application effect for self nursing in elderly patients with chronic periodontitis in implant therapy

Abstract：Objective:The self-care model was applied to the nursing care of implant patients with chronic periodontitis and evaluated the application effect of this nursing mode.Methods:46 patients (60-70 years old) with chronic periodontitis were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,who were admitted to the Department of Stomatology,Ummqi stomatology hospital from 2014.1-2016.6.The control group was treated with conventional nursing intervention,the experimental group was treated with self nursing mode,and the clinical effects of two groups were compared.Results:there were significant differences between the sixth groups in the plaque index (PLI),the depth of exploration (PD) and the gingival sulcus bleeding index (SBI) in the two groups (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The application of the self-care model can improve the patients' initiative to keep a fine oral cleanliness and hing treatment success,and can effectively improve the health of the implant tissue,so it is worthy of clinical application.
