Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of antibacterial peptide on the treatment of different periodontal pockets depth in patients with periodontal disease. Methods:A total of 60 cases of chronic periodontitis (CP) patients were incorporated and randomly divided into RISE-AP12(R) group, minocycline hydrochloride (MINO) group and control group.Following mechanical treatment, corresponding medicine was applied in the impacted teeth, once a week,4 time for a course of treatment.Periodontal examination was performed at 3 months before and after scaling, and the depth of periodontal pocket, bleeding index and attachment loss were recorded Impacted teeth were further divided into three groups according to different pocket depth:4-6mm group,6-8mm group and >8mm group,to analyze and compare the clinical therapeutic effect of AMP and MINO on periodontal pockets of different depth.Results:1.The probing depth, bleeding index and clinical attachment loss were significantly reduced in the three groups after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant among groups before and after treatment (P<0.01);2.Probing depth, bleeding index and clinical attachment loss in the AMP group and MINO group were all superior to those in the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05);3.comparison results of probing depth, bleeding index and clinical attachment loss among groups with the depth of periodontal pocket at 4-6mm and 6-8mm suggested that there were statistical differences of indexes in the AMP group and MINO group when compared with those in the control group (P< 0.05);Comparison:of bleeding index, probing depth and attachment loss variation of periodontal pocket depth above 8mm teeth before and after the treatment, control change group, minocycline group,RISE-AP12(R) group increased (P <0.01),and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:The application of antibacterial peptide and minocycline hydrochloride in the treatment of periodontitis with different periodontal pocket depth can achieve better curative effect, and has certain clinical value.
