Effect of psychological intervention on anxiety of senile patients with oral soft tissue defects repaired treated by forearm free flap

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of psychological intervention on the treatment of senile patients with oral soft tissue defects by forearm free flap.Methods:A total of 32 senile cases of forearm free flap for the oral soft tissue defects were divided into control group (n=16) and psychological intervention group (n=1 6) according to hospital admission time.In the control group,only routine perioperative care and general health education were performed.In addition,the intervention group took psychological intervention measures.The self-rating anxiety scale was used to compare the psychological status of the two groups before and after the intervention,and the satisfaction of nursing work,hospital-related information and nursing safety were compared.Results:Before the psychological intervention,the two groups of patients with SAS scores were no significant difference (P>0.05),after psychological intervention,the anxiety symptoms in intervention group of patients were relieved,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The satisfaction of nursing work was improved,the number of nursing days and the average hospitalization expenses were reduced.We also ensured the safety of nursing,and received good results.Conclusion:Psychological intervention can effectively relieve the anxiety of senile patients with forearm free flap to repair the defects of oral soft tissue,which is worthy of clinical application.
