The progress and prospect of proteomics research about Streptococcus mutans

Abstract：Extracellular proteins,always contain pathogenic or toxic factors,are closely related to the pathogenesis of the disease.A variety of high-throughput omics technology are widely used in the study of Streptococcus mutans.For example gene chip and transcriptome sequencing were used to detect the transcription level of the related gene.Meanwhile proteomic technology were also used to study the pathogenic characteristics of streptococcus mutans.The paper will introduce the application of proteomics in Streptococcus mutans pathogenic research.
