Application of BP Plus iRoot in the elderly patients with periapical surgery

Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of periapical surgery with iRoot BP Plus in the elderly patients.Methods:53 cases (54 teeth) divided into three groups,which were carried out in periapical surgery and root-end filling by Silver amalgam,MTA and iRoot BP Plus respectively.Statistical analyzed the data of O-PAI and the healing rate after 1 year.Results:O-PAI of Silver amalgam is was higher than MTA group and iRoot BP Plus group(P＜0.05).There is was no significant difference between group MTA and group iRoot BP Plus in the O-PAI(P＞0.05).The healing rate of Silver amalgam is was lower than group MTA and group iRoot BP Plus(P＜0.05.There is no significant difference between group MTA and group iRoot BP Plus in the healing rate(P＞0.05).Conclusion:As root-end filling materials in periapical surgery,MTA and iRoot BP Plus had the similar clinical effect.
