Effect of nutrition on aging and age-related diseases

Abstract：Aging is an irreversible phenomenon of the degeneration of human somatic tissue and organs with age.Nutrition has a significant impact on aging and age-related diseases.Changes of the proportion of macronutrients,and some trace elements and nutritional supplements can delay the occurrence of aging and age related diseases.The mechanism of nutrition and aging was addressed on signaling pathway of IIS,TOR,Sirtuin and AMPK.This study presents a summary and review on nutrient intake and human aging and age-related disease research,and discusses the possibility of delaying aging and age-related diseases through nutrition intervention.
