Abstract:Objective:To explore the relationship between inflammatory level of periodontitis as well as disorders of glu-cose and lipid metabolism of diabetes in the aged population with diabetes and periodontitis. Methods: 151 diabetes pa-tients with periodontitiswere divided into two groups accroding to inflammatory level of periodontitis to analyze the correla-tion between inflammatory level of periodontitis and the content of fasting serum glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesferol, low density lipoprotein cholestorolin in blood by Binary Logistic regres-sion analysis. Result: High content of fasting serum glucose OR=3.344 (1.015-11.024), glycosylated hemoglobin OR=2.948 (1.049-8.288), triglyceride OR=2.829 (1.074-7.453)and low density lipoprotein cholestorolin OR=1.656 (1.017-2.696) in blood were risk factors of aggravate inflammatory level of periodontitis with diabetes. Conclusion: The disorders of glucose and lipid metabolism of diabetes have obvious correlation with periodontal inflammatory level in the aged diabetes population with periodontitis.
