The BOPPPS Combined with the Flipped Classroom in the Practice of Hybrid Teaching Models in Rehabilitation Audiology

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effectiveness of a BOPPPS+flipped classroom-based blended teaching model in rehabilitation audiology.Methods A total of 34 undergraduate students majoring in audiology and speech rehabilitation from the class of 2019 at Chongqing Medical University were selected as the control group,and 35 undergraduate students from the class of 2020 were selected as the experimental group.The experimental group used the blended model,while the control group followed traditional teaching.Outcomes were assessed via end-of-semester grades and questionnaires.Results The experimental group had significantly higher final scores than the control group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The experimental group also showed higher satisfaction in overall evaluation,learning interest,teamwork,and self-learning ability,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),but no significant difference in innovation ability satisfaction,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The BOPPPS+flipped classroom model enhances student engagement and interaction,improving teaching quality and effectiveness in rehabilitation audiology.
