Abstract：Advanced otosclerosis is characterized by the formation of hardened,dense bone in areas of early bone resorption.Treatment options include medications,stapes surgery,and cochlear implant(CI).CI is a new and effective treatment option for advanced otosclerosis.In this paper,we review the progress in treatments of advanced otosclerosis and their efficacy to provide a basis for future clinical diagnosis and treatment.
