Advance in Research on Pathogenesis of Otosclerosis

Abstract：Otosclerosis is a condition that affects the middle and inner ear,often causing hearing loss.With advances in molecular biology and genetics,researchers are paying more attention to how this disease starts.Studies show that otosclerosis is affected by genes,environment,and immune reactions,involving changes in ear bone structure and cell communication.This review summarizes what current information on otosclerosis,with a focus on the different pathways through which the disease can develop and directions in future studies,to further understanding of otosclerosis to help improve its early diagnosis and treatment.
