Patient Self-Management in Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Abstract:Sudden sensorineural hearing loss is a common emergency in otology,with unclear pathogenesis and low rate of full recovery.Persisting residual symptoms after treatment can seriously affect patients'quality of life and social function.Patient self-management can improve the quality of life,reduce social isolation and participation restrictions brought by the disease.In this paper,self-management in patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss is reviewed,in order to provide a basis for improving clinical management of this disease.
