Abstract：Unilateral subjective tinnitus is a form of subjective tinnitus.Plasticity of the auditory center is an important cause of unilateral tinnitus.Meanwhile,the limbic system is involved in its perception and maintenance of through interaction with the auditory system.Lateralization of the above changes affects the localization of tinnitus.This article reviews recent progress in research on the lateralized neuronal mechanisms of unilateral tinnitus.
