Abstract:Platinum is a frequently employed agent in both pediatric and adult chemotherapy protocols,significantly enhancing the overall survival rate in children afflicted with tumors.However,the potential of ototoxicity subsequent to platinum therapy poses a substantial hurdle in the long-term surviving pediatric tumor patients.This article provides a comprehensive review of the advancements made in the understanding of platinum-induced ototoxicity,follow-up evaluation and intervention strategies.
