Abstract:Wideband acoustic immittance(WAI)can effectively demonstrate characteristics of sound energy reflection and absorption at different frequencies by the middle and inner ear, which provides key information for the diagnosis of ear diseases. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the application of wideband acoustic immittance in middle ear function assessment, focusing on its advantages and challenges in clinical diagnosis of otologic diseases, and discusses the importance of its future research directions and standardization.Several challenges persist in its clinical application, including the establishment of standard normal ranges, results interpretation and analysis accuracy, and cross-check with other auditory tests. To effectively utilize this technology in clinical practice,in-depth research is essential to further refine and standardize this technology.
