Abstract:Cortical Auditory Evoked Potentials(CAEPs)are brainwave responses that record the cortical auditory function.Compared to Auditory Brainstem Responses(ABRs),CAEPs reflect a higher level of the auditory pathway. It is easy to test and does not require sleep, making it advantageous for objective hearing evaluation and auditory functions assessment. This article provides a comprehensive review on recommended parameters for CAEP test and its applications in the clinical hearing diagnosis and evaluation.
