Research Progress on Type Ⅳ Collagen-Related Hearing Loss

Abstract：Type Ⅳ collagen is an important component of the basement membrane and in other tissues,widely present in human organs such as the kidney and cochlea.Compared with type Ⅳ collagen-related issues in kidney dis-eases,researches in China and abroad have paid less attention to its roles in hearing loss.This article aims to summarize the research on reported type Ⅳ collagen subtypes and related diseases involving hearing loss to provide directions for future research.
